If there is one constant in the kingdom, it is the monkey Rafiki (voice in the original English: John Kani), who has always collected the country's stories and ensures that they are passed on and preserved for generations to come. And so it is Rafiki who tells Simba's (Donald Glover) and Nala's (Beyoncé) little daughter Kiara (Blue Ivy Carter) the story of Simba's father Mufasa (Aaron Pierre). Because this life had anything but a royal beginning. As a lonely orphaned lion cub, Mufasa's story seems already predetermined. But fate had other plans for him and let him end up with Taka (Kelvin Harrison Jr.). At this time, Taka was the heir to the lion's throne himself, but he struggled with his role and the expectations that came with it and preferred to travel around the country with a few equally disoriented outsiders, who Mufasa eventually joined. However, this great, supposed adventure quickly turned out to be a baptism of fire for the vagabonds, who not only had to face themselves, but also a dark threat. Fortunately, so that this story doesn't get too dark, Rafiki also has Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumba (Seth Rogan) at his side. Sequel to Disney's 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King.
